The cranesimulator features a 4 channel WUXGA combined with a 4 channel SX+ projection solution whereas the Kongsberg Bridge simulator has been equipped with a high resolution 13 channel WUXGA display, all featuring projectiondesign F22 VizSim projectors. The whole project was realized in less than eight weeks from order to OSAT.
Ship Modelling & Simulation Center AS (SMSC) has been acquired by Kongsberg Maritime and all former SMSC training services are available through Kongsberg Maritime Training at its new premises at Grilstad in Trondheim. SMSC had been established in 1980 in Trondheim (Norway) and developed maritime- and offshore-related simulators for use in training and operational conceptual evaluations. SMSC developed its own software and provides custom-tailored simulation-based training for all vessel types on any location: Shuttle tanker training; PSV operations; Ship to Ship lightering (STS); and Offshore crane- & lifting operations.
