the line between the physical and virtual world and are designed to fully engage users through multi-sensory experiences, often leveraging technologies like virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), projection mapping, 3D audio soundscapes, and interactive elements (sensors, tracking of all kinds).<br \/>\nImmersive XR spaces can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.project-syntropy.de\/en\/portfolio-item\/xr-lab-cave-south-westphalia-university-of-applied-sciences-iserlohn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>next-level CAVE<\/strong><\/a> (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment) environments used for research, product and process development, education and training.<br \/>\nThey are also so-called <strong>LED Volumes<\/strong> (dvLED-based virtual production studios), which replace green screens with LED-walls and connect real-time VR environments, virtual light and camera movement tracking with physical objects and real actors.<br \/>\nImmersion is not only reached by the aforementioned technologies, but also by the sheer size of the space which allows you to walk around, interact in groups and more.<br \/>\nImmersive XR spaces are moving beyond culture, entertainment and gaming into professional and social sectors: Training &amp; Simulation, AI-powered Digital Twins and collaborative workspaces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital Twins<\/strong><br \/>\nDigital Twins are virtual real-time representations of physical objects or processes. They are often used to observe, analyze, simulate, maintain and optimize products, processes and systems over their entire lifecycle. Real-time data is continuously collected from them, providing insight into its condition and behavior. <strong>Product Twins<\/strong> and <strong>Machine Twins<\/strong> contain data throughout their lifecycle and provide insights into product behavior and optimization potential, e.g. for predictive maintenance, energy efficiency and more. <strong>Digital Process Twins<\/strong> link technical factory processes with enterprise business processes, e.g. to plan, design, test, run, optimize entire plants and complex production processes before and after building them.<br \/>\nBringing a Digital Twin into an immersive XR space allows us to move from just looking at data on a flat screen to &#8220;stepping inside&#8221; and &#8220;navigating&#8221; the data supported by all available VR\/AR\/MR-Technologies and the increasing influence of AI in mapping and synchronizing massive real-time data.
