The hightech labs at the Virtual Development and Training Center VDTC at Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF, Magdeburg/D, operated a motion-base with six DOF at its mixed reality lab. The motion-base was used for research in ergonomics and driver training.
project: syntropy won the public tender for providing the complete immersive display solution for the Motion-Base Lab including the cylindrical screen, the room system for the control room and the real-time 3D render-cluster.
The display solution includes a eight-channel- projection system with projectiondesign F20 SXGA+ projectors, mounting, wiring, warping units and a domeprojection.com auto-alignment system, which supports dynamic multiple eye-point calibration.
