Next-generation immersive fulldome entertainment showcase at Prolight + Sound 2012 in Frankfurt/Main ft. a 10 meter diameter, fully immersive 360° wrap-around dome screen with 8 channel projection by DP, domeprojection.com auto-alignment system. Dataton WATCHOUT and content from LivinGlobe.
In 2012 three leaders in audiovisual solutions have teamed up to create a unique and entertaining showcase at Prolight + Sound 2012: the stand comprised a 10 meter diameter, fully immersive 360° wrap-around dome screen with 8 high- brightness HighLiteTM series projectors by Digital Projection and integrated seamlessly by project: syntropy using the domeprojection.com auto-alignment system. Dataton used the 10 meter wide dome as a canvas to present the newest version of their award-winning WATCHOUT multidisplay production system.
Furthermore the visitors had the rare opportunity to see excerpts from the immersive cinema fulldome movie “Cosmic Dance”, produced by Munich-based company LivinGlobe – a renowned expert for dome films – for the Canadian Museum of Hindu Civilization, Toronto. The movie shows parallels between Hinduism and modern science and features interviews with CERN physicists, Nobel Prize Winner Prof. Dr. H.-P. Duerr and indian shamans.
